I have a comfortable 3 bedroom Craftsman style home which is set up as two bedrooms (double and queen-sized beds) and an office with a couch. There are also a living room, dining room, and kitchen with one bathroom. There is a driveway to park a car in, but I’m sorry I have no bicycle.

This is a quiet border town of 73,000 people. Many of the streets are tree-lined and people are generally very friendly and polite. In the summer, it is a tourist town. The local farmer’s market is walking distance, about two blocks from my house (Wednesday and Saturday mornings through out the year). I am walking distance from downtown and the river. There is a good local writing community that I can offer introductions to. I also know a few painters and photographers who are exhibiting. You have the opportunity to share your music, storytelling or written word at The Lawrence House’s Open Mic events on the second and third Monday of every month. We have a couple Art Galleries and a Museum downtown as well. Or you can travel to London (about 1 hour away) for other Art Galleries, Spoken Word events and Museums. The local authors often do a ride-share to events in London. Or, Toronto is about 3 hours and 15 minutes away. Then, there is the USA, across the bridge from Sarnia.

I am currently interested in having someone stay in my home between November 19th and November 30th, 2019 while I am on a book tour. I have two indoor-only cats that need attention. (Sorry, don’t bring your pets.) I leave very early on the 19th and return around supper time on the 30th. I would be happy to hear from other writers or people who do not need a studio. We can discuss the details of the arrangement by phone or email.
