Description

Unusual early 19th C stone built cottage in a village outside Bradford. Set across 4 floors with the top floor being a studio. The village is the birthplace of the literary Brontë sisters – there is now a lovely Italian coffee shop in the small house where they were born. The house has a woodburning stove and gas central heating. The kitchen and bathroom are both just a couple of years old, there’s all the usual stuff in the kitchen. A king size bed in main bedroom and a fold out double sofa bed in the guest room. There’s also a chaise longue/single bed in the studio.

There is a bus stop 30 seconds walk from the house, which heads into Bradford centre where there is a train station. Bradford has an interesting industrial history – lots of huge mills, mostly derelict sadly, but some have been brought back into use.

The house comes with 2 charming cats – Brontë and Jeremy Fisher – so any swappers would need to be ok with this and happy to feed them (dry food only), let them out on a morning and get them in on an eve as well as administer fussing and treats. They are great company.
