Our studio is situated on a working farm in the beautiful Scottish Borders.. A beautiful live/work space, perfect for one or two, ok for three. Perfect retreat for writer, artist, wanting peace and solitude.

Would suit non-messy artists (sorry). Writers, poets, academics and researchers are also welcome to work here. Photographers, media artists and conceptual work can all be developed here.

We usually rent it out to creatives, mostly musicians and writers but sometimes dancers, performers and those working on projects. We also like to use the studio for exchanges.

I work across artforms – drawing, moving image and installation. Andy, my husband is an architect. (He designed the studio).

Although we live in a village just off the beaten track, there’s easy access to Edinburgh and Borders towns. Best to have a car as there are no local amenities, but a bus stop is 1mile from the studio with buses to Edinburgh and Galashiels running once an hour.

We live nearby so will be around unless we’re off on a trip somewhere.

Looking to swap for another live/work space. As for location I’m open to suggestions! Timings flexible, exchange needn’t be simultaneous.
