Description

Hi There!

I’ve got an apartment with living room, bedroom, kitchen, balcony and full bath and a studio with 3 rooms and bathroom a few houses down the street in Berlin’s charming Charlottenburg! I’m looking to swap with someone who is based in a small town with lots of country & nature around- south of France? Spain? Scandinavia? Scotland? Wherever I end up, I’m hoping to get away from the big city for a while and focus on developing new projects.

The swap is ideal for one to two people, as the apartment has one queen size loft bed and a king sized expandable couch (that is super comfy- I sleep on it all the time!). I can be ok with pets, as long as they are well trained. I would ask you for an extra thorough clean to get rid of any pet-hair at the end of your stay.

The studio is at street level with a store-front door. It has one messy room where I have my tools and workbench installed (complete with chop-saw!), one clean work room- ideal for sewing, drafting, writing, dry media, and one multi purpose room in the middle. I am currently rennovating, and will add more photos once renovations are complete.

Both the apartment and studio are well connected by public transport to several SBahn, UBahn and and Bus lines. We have two beautiful parks with gardens and lakes close by, and lovely spots for swimming in the summer are only a few stops away on the SBahn. Charlottenburg is a quieter part of the city, but if you’re looking for nightlife you can get pretty much anywhere within half an hour to 45 minutes.

I would love to do a swap for a month in September or November 2019, and a longer one as of June 2020.

General rules:

1. You break it, you bought it. I’m happy to give you access to my tools and facilities like washing etc. Please be honest and transparent if anything breaks. I know shit happens and I’m easy to talk to, let’s figure it out together.

2. Queer Positive. Berlin is a super queer city, and you will have a better time if you are open and accepting. I am deeply immersed in the queer scene in Berlin, and all LGBTQIA+ babes are welcome in my home! The future is intersectional.

3. Respect my neighbors. I have a very positive relationship with all of my neighbors and I intend to keep it this way. Please be respectful of shared space like the parking lot, basement, courtyard, trash bins etc. I have never gotten a noise complaint yet, and there are no fixed quiet hours, just be sensible and respectful.
