Studio Space: Because I ‘m a glass artist, working in kiln forming, my studio is pretty specific to my work. You’ll probably enjoy the spacious ocean-view covered terrace as a great place to work and explore all kinds of media. A large table is perfect for drawing or writing. There’s plenty of room to set up easles or amps. Accommodations: The 800 square foot house has two 1/2 bedrooms and two baths. A separate studio cottage has a single bed and bath. Both share a “get cool” pool. The house is well ventilated and comfortable without AC. We’re on a steep hill with stairs to enter. Neighborhood: We’re located just 2 kilometers outside the charming village of Sámara. It’s an easy 25 minute walk into town along the beach. There you’ll find lots of shops, restaurants, beach bars, banks, doctors, and groceries. We’re an international community of Europeans, North and South Americans living with the local Ticos. There are a lot of artists in town and two small galleries. Responsibilities: Our 12 year old, mixed breed dog is part of the swap. She needs a good walk in the morning and food twice a day. Seeking: I’m looking for a place to spend time gaining inspiration, writing, and making watercolors. I can care for your dog but no cats due to allergies.
