Description

You’ll never want to leave this charming, rustic adobe house surrounded by big sky and mountain views. You can find a scene to paint from every window…and an even larger expanse in the front/back yards. The night skies are magnificent and the sunsets/sunrises are spectacular.

The historic town of Taos is only about 15-20 minutes away by car. Taos is known for its many artists, art galleries, museums and shops…as well as its Native American and Hispanic cultural influences in the local arts and cuisine especially. There is MUCH to see and do here:  there’s live music almost every night, hiking and rafting, a visit to the Pueblo or a mission, writer’s book readings, storytelling workshops, gallery openings, art workshops, figure drawing open studios, and so much more.

Take in the amazing landscape and natural beauty of the high desert all around town. The light here really is enchanting and has been inspiring artists since at least 1898. Be sure to visit the nearby gorge state parks, as well as the Taos Ski Valley for more spectacular views.

Enjoy easy day trips to neighboring small towns like Arroyo Seco, Pillar and Dixon for excellent pottery and local fine art studios; drive up to Angel Fire through the Sangre de Cristo Mountains; check out Abiquiu to visit Ghost Ranch and the home of Georgia O’Keefe. And, southern Colorado is only a couple of hours away for yet another kind of landscape.

You’ll want to be sure to visit the big city of Santa Fe, a world famous culture center, only 1.5 hours by car. You can also plan to visit Albuquerque (2.5 hours away from Taos) for the renown hot air balloon festival in October.

My space is about 1600 sq ft. — secluded and private with its own first floor entrance, circular drive and private parking space. Two bedrooms, two full baths, open kitchen/living room. The art studio is in the second bedroom. The set up includes 1-2 easels and a work table. Bathrooms both have a tub/shower. Full kitchen with microwave, refrigerator, gas oven/stove, dishwasher, toaster, electric tea kettle and French press. Outdoor patios and hot tub. Queen size bed, tempur-pedic.

I know you will enjoy your stay!
