This building, called T85, is in a diverse neighbourhood in the East of Amsterdam. I share the top floor of an old school building with an amazing artist that only works in the late evenings. Our 70m2 floor, of which I rent 40m2, has it’s own toilet and sink and is divided by two curtains. Both of our spaces have a roof terrace to work and garden on. Mine is over 100m2, full of flowers and has a covered area to work in on rainy days. The indoor space is narrow but very long, hence my 3,40m long worktable. Internet, heating, reading nook and fully equipped kitchenette are available.

The rest of the building is filled with the studio’s of socially engaged artists and creative entrepreneurs. Everyone is expected to contribute 60 hours a year to taking care of the building and providing a cultural program for the neighbourhood. We are situated on walking distance from shops, the Oosterpark, cafe’s and restaurants. My home (see separate advertisement) is five tram stops or a 15-minute bike ride away.
